ASTRA Club of Mexico, MO

ASTRA clubs are for younger people that want to serve their communities under the Altrusa organization, but ASTRA clubs maintain their own leadership, meetings, and service projects. The ASTRA Club of Mexico, MO was formed in 2009 and is currently one of six in our four-state district. Altrusa members serve as mentors for ASTRA, helping them develop leadership and organizational skills.

Projects

ASTRA conducts many service projects throughout the year, cleaning up trash around Mexico, making birthday party kits for underserved kids, face painting at community events, bell ringing for the Salvation Army, and assisting with Altrusa projects through the year such as their annual auction.

Membership

ASTRA is currently open to youth aged 11 to 25 and prospects must apply for membership. Those interested in membership in the Mexico ASTRA Club should contact the ASTRA sponsor, Gina Raines, at gina.raines@commercebank.com.
